WHAT IS CBN (Cannabinol)?
CBN – is still relatively unknown to many and is seen by experts as the successor to HHC.
There is a lot of talk about CBD and studies have been looking into the cannabinoid for a long time. The hemp plant is once again receiving a lot of attention worldwide due to the positive experiences of countless users.
CBN has some similarities with CBD, but there are also several differences.
Cannabinol is one of the more than 100 cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. According to research, it is said to contribute primarily to mental relaxation, but the decoding of its other effectiveness has not yet been fully completed.
Technically, CBN is produced by oxidation caused by heat and light in mature hemp plants. The biochemical precursor of CBN is THC, the substance that is not allowed to be available on the market in high doses. Mature hemp flowers exposed to the sun and high temperatures produce large amounts of CBN. The more mature the plant, the higher the amount of CBN present.
Even though CBN has a slightly psychoactive effect, it is not listed as a “New Psychotropic Substance” in Austria and Germany. This fact and the fact that HHC products were banned in many European countries in spring 2023 led to an increased demand for CBN products.
