The difference is big

A big problem is that these terms are often lumped together. It is easy to confuse CBD oil and hemp oil. Both are unique products that are beneficial to our health. However, this happens in different ways.

Differences between CBD oil and hemp oil in extraction and production

CBD oil and hemp oil come from different parts of the cannabis plant. The ingredients also differ. The hemp seeds are surrounded by a solid shell in the so-called "hemp nut". Unlike CBD oil, hemp oil is obtained by gently cold-pressing the hemp seeds. Due to the growing CBD market and to avoid confusion, hemp oil has recently been referred to more frequently as hemp seed oil. It contains a rich mixture of nutrients, but no CBD. These oils also do not contain psychoactive ingredients that produce an intoxicating effect. HEMP OIL is one of the few oils that contains both omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids in the optimal ratio for the human organism.

The proportion is approximately 70%. This includes nutritionally valuable polyunsaturated fatty acids such as:

• Linoleic acid

• alpha-linolenic acid

• Omega-6 fatty acid

• Omega-3 fatty acid (stearidonic acid)

Other components of hemp seed oil are vitamins, especially vitamin E, B1 and B2, carotenoids and chlorophylls. It is also rich in amino acids and minerals such as phosphorus and magnesium.

According to nutritionists, it is therefore one of the highest quality cooking oils. In addition, hemp oil is already an integral part of the cosmetics world due to its high vitamin E content and will be used even more by cosmetics manufacturers in the future due to its positive effect on the skin.

Hemp oil instead of fish?

Nowadays, eating fatty fish is often recommended to provide omega-3 fatty acids. However, sea fish is now widely contaminated with environmental toxins and heavy metals, so frequent consumption does not seem to make sense. Hemp oil is an ecologically sound and extremely healthy alternative.

Ideal and popular for cold dishes and salads

Its nutty herbal note is therefore ideal for salads, raw sauerkraut, dips and much more.

Cooked dishes can also be refined with hemp oil. To do this, simply pour the hemp oil over the food after cooking. Hemp oil is not suitable for frying, however, as its valuable fatty acids would be damaged at 165 degrees Celsius at the latest.

All parts of the hemp plant that are rich in CBD are used for CBD oil. To obtain the CBD, it is extracted using a special process. This is why it is also referred to as hemp extract or CBD extract. The CBD is then diluted with a base oil (sesame, hemp seed or coconut oil). The result is an oil with a high CBD content. When buying CBD oil, please note that some suppliers market hemp seed oil as hemp oil! To avoid confusion, read the information carefully about the CBD content and detailed compositions on the label of the CBD oils on offer and ask for the independent laboratory analysis. Reputable dealers offer this on their own initiative.
